The Planning Commission is a seven-member body appointed by the Mayor to prepare recommendations on long-range planning matters and development regulations. This board also hears applications for planned unit developments, subdivisions, and site specific zone changes. Members serve terms that are two years in length.

As a long range planning body, it is the role of the Planning Commission to conduct citizen participation activities to engage local residents and businesses of planning for the future of the community.

Regularly scheduled Planning Commission meetings are monthly on the fourth Tuesday of the month in the Council Chambers at East Wenatchee City Hall.
